For this paper project, I dove into a Pinterest board received by the director to fill out my design. My main parameters were that my design needed to be able to be changed out for another within four hours. While the director imagined maybe only pulling in the couch and pulling in some plants, I wanted to flesh out her world more. Creating a world of imprecise trash and plant detritus came to mind. Shattered greenhouse windows loom over the world, where in the space they would be attached behind architectural railing. Vines that are easily pulled up curtain the small backstage area. And, of course, a nasty couch that is mentioned within the apprehensive story acts as a focal point and general seating for actors.
