This scarf was created as an exploration into silk dyeing for a class. I started by stretching silk onto a frame and tracing my design in pencil from a photoshopped printout. I then applied gutta resist for the lining. Various dyes were painted onto the wet silk to achieve this dragon among a forest. This piece was then steam set,
