My inspiration for this rendition of macbitches came both from budget and familiarity. This show was written by one of my graduating year at UW - Stevens Point and held many references from my time there. In fact, I know the exact apartment building it was placed in. I wanted to have some pieces of mish mashed young adulthood, barely covering the rehearsal blocks and doorways. Everything became a happy facade for the harshness of reality. The plants in the back evoked adorable dorm life while also showing the darkness through death. The rehearsal blocks are clearly shown under some fabric that implies a couch. A bar cart grabbed off a curb hangs out as a space in the background, while a created nest is centerstage. Everything is simple, but tells a story.
